In their words

I stepped into a senior role with confidence knowing I'd have Ralph's coaching and support behind me, and he exceeded every expectation. His guidance across time management, people leadership, critical thinking, and solution-first thinking has been invaluable. Ralph's mix of genuine mentorship and tough love helped me grow into a stronger, more strategic leader in sales and strategy. I'm incredibly grateful for his impact. Thank you, Ralph!

Working with Ralph was genuinely transformative. His coaching style strikes the perfect balance between challenge and support - he has a real talent for helping you see things clearly, focus on what matters, and grow. I saw a noticeable improvement in how I lead, make decisions, and manage my time. Highly recommend Ralph to anyone serious about unlocking their potential and improving their confidence.

Ive known Ralph for many years as a client, but working with him over the last 24mths, as an advisor and coach has been truly transformation. His experience and guidance has enabled us to grow strategically and and quickly, way beyond what we thought was possible. He is the calm in the storm, but also understands the cadence required when working in a startup and with a demanding founder. We are delighted to have Ralph with us on our journey

Best decision of the year

Ralph came into my life at the end of 2020 when I was newly promoted to a managerial role. My exec team supported my change by providing regular coaching and I can honestly say this was the best decision of the year! The ongoing coaching and support I received from Ralph through 2021 enabled me to…

Knowledgeable, Wise, Empathetic Coach

Ralph is an incredibly knowledgeable, wise, and empathetic counselor/coach. Not pushy, not rah-rah, just there to listen and offer sage advice backed by years of real-world experience. I find myself alternating between wondering what Ralph would say and remembering something Ralph did say when facing tough professional situations. Highly recommended.

I recently attended the Learning Hub track at IoT Tech Expo, London Olympia, where Ralph from Accelerate Performance chaired the day's sessions. He brought tremendous energy, credibility, and insight throughout, and expertly kept the conversations engaging and on track.

Invaluable support

Ralph has been a great mentor whilst supporting me through a promotion into a managerial role. He is very friendly and sensitive whilst delivering world class coaching, helping me reach targets with his methods. Ralphs experience is invaluable. I would recommend to family. Thanks for everything Ralph

Ralph has been a tremendous mentor

Ralph has been a tremendous mentor and supported me throughout the mentorship period. The way he explains things is very thorough and clear, using theories with the support of his own experiences as well as others' and real life examples. Ralph is very friendly and approachable. It can be difficult…

New company business coaching

I enlisted the help of Ralph last year when I was in the planning stages of setting up a new company. During this time, Ralph provided excellent support for both coaching and business development. I can highly recommend him for business coaching.

Ralph Changed My Life

I met Ralph about six weeks ago for what was supposed to be four sessions, but he's become my coach and brain-masseuse who helped me totally shift my outlook and start fulfilling my potential. I went from waking up at 12:30 every day to waking up at 7:00 a.m., and I've stayed consistent with my dedication. I can email him anytime for a direct push to get me back on track, and it's even improved my relationship with my wife.

Very much appreciate my business relationship Ralph. Worked with Ralph in different ways but hosting and moderating our IoT track at IoT Tech Expo was done perfectly.

Excellent

Ralph's calm and logical yet challenging approach to self improvement was nothing short of excellent and drives you to self analyse and improve

Great soundboard and toolset in building up confidence to pave a new path

A great toolset for anyone stuck progressing ideas that needs a hand. Ralph was great soundboard for discussing aspirations. The reflective techniques used opened me up, build on foundations, and accelerate focus on my ideas. His feedback helped grow confidence and to seek viable paths to success. Thanks Ralph!

Highly professional and engaging 🚀

Accelerate Leadership Performance

Actionable, credible, well written.

This is a well written, actionable and insightful read written by someone who clearly has lived experiences in senior leadership roles. This makes this more authentic than the usual narrative written by people who are academically qualified but havent actually walked the walk. I have led large…

Accelerate Leadership Performance

Actionable Leadership Insights & Inspiration!

Having read and leveraged lessons from the author's earlier book “Accelerate Personal Performance” & the performance blueprint / workbook sheets some years ago, when I saw this I just had to get my mitts on it. Just started reading it and it does not disappoint. Inspiring and thought provoking…

Accelerate Leadership Performance

Practical, well-structured, and grounded in real experience

I've had the chance to know Ralph, so I was curious to see how his thinking translated into a book and I have to say, this is a really solid piece of work. What stands out most is how practical and grounded it is. … There are plenty of actionable insights that I found myself reflecting on and…

Accelerate Leadership Performance

You can read it once, cover to cover but the real value will be re-reading sections again and again

This is less a traditional book and more a framework you can keep coming back to. Concise language and a read that's easy to digest. It also draws references and relatable relevant parallels outside of business (including the most recent England ashes collapse) keeping context interesting. The…

Accelerate Leadership Performance

Leadership theory and the often absent 'so what'

Simple and easy to read, but don't be fooled, the content of this book is well researched. The value for me, and my fellow leader, is the 'so what', which Varcoe lays out with every piece of the subject matter. A superb resource for the new and seasoned leader!

Accelerate Leadership Performance

A survival book for corporate life

What I liked most about this book was that you can pick it up and out it down in bite sized chunks. The chapters were short, focused and actionable. It's more than a book - it's a reference guide. Familiar concepts I'd forgotten and new ones introduced. Well worth a read and we'll worth a reach out to Ralph to get the perspective you didn't know you needed. Elite athletes have coaches, so why don't you.

Accelerate Leadership Performance

A really easy and enjoyable read packed with brilliant takeaways

I haven't read this author on the subject of leadership before. I wish I had. For a busy manager, leader of people and projects, the way he concisely explains the issue at hand and gets to the point makes you feel that his imparted wisdom, experience and challenges he sets the reader is more than…

Accelerate Personal Performance

Clear, personal, powerful and really useful!

I'm always a little suspicious of "self help" books as many of them just seem to regurgitate the same old ideas with new language. What makes Accelerate Personal Performance different is the application of ideas and methods from many different disciplines to focus effort and achieve goals, and it…

Accelerate Personal Performance

Accessible, practical and a book that speaks to you (and gives you a bit of a sense check too!)

Ralph has written a great book here......I know there are a lot of books that talk about aspects of performance and "self-help" but I've not read one that actually gives you practical tips and empathises to an extent that you feel comfortable admitting that being "time poor" is actually a personal…

Accelerate Personal Performance

Practical and accessible; highly readable

I'm not great with business or self-help books - good intentions and all that.. However, I found this one very approachable. The author comes across as "one of us" and writes with an authentic tone of voice. He uses many examples to illustrate his point, blending his own experiences (with a healthy…

Accelerate Personal Performance

Accelerate Personal Performance

Very accessible and pragmatic guidance

Having read lots of 'self-help' books, I found this refreshing. Ralph brings together many concepts - some I know, others are new - and weaves them together into a coherent narrative with a strong touch of the personal. The result is a book full of new ways of looking at things. I've tended to dip…

Accelerate Personal Performance

Highly recommended

I was lent a copy of this book and must say I've really enjoyed learning new ways to get more done. Accelerate Personal Performance

If you need some personal motivation...

A thought-provoking, entertaining, and affecting book. Ralph Varcoe combines his own experiences of life with accessible research material, and encourages his reader most convincingly how to be the best that they can be. I recommend the audio-book for anyone who finds it hard to relax: the narrator/writer has the most beautiful voice for storytelling.

Accelerate Personal Performance

There's a lot here...

The author has pulled together his personal experience, stories of success, research, and helpful tools and somehow managed to pack it into a slimline paperback. The writing style is short, punchy sentences covering a lot of topics which left me a bit breathless to read in one go. I found myself…

The Warmth in the Room

The end is not nigh

This is a big theme tackled in a thoughtful and practical way. Varcoe gives reassurance that AI is not the end of our humanity - quite the reverse. I found it uplifting as well as practical. For anyone non-technical this is an easy, approachable read with good examples of how to apply AI to support…
